The third permanent expression after Machir Bay and Sanaig, Batch Strength is aged in a combination of re-charred red wine casks, Oloroso sherry casks and Bourbon casks, with a few drops of water added after maturation.
The result is a whisky combining natural peat smoke, Kilchoman's citrus notes, dark fruits, rich spices and salted caramel.
- Nose: red fruits, fresh cherries, heather flowers and intense peat smoke.
- Palate: English toffee, rich spices, vanilla and lingering peat smoke.
- Finish: silky viscosity with fresh toast, butter and honey.
