Crystal malt was added to the mash bill of their usual single malt. It was aged in virgin American oak casks. Crystal malt is created when sugar crystals form at high temperature during the traditional malting process. It brings caramel and toffee aromas.
- Nose: green apple, stewed pear, brown sugar, vanilla and light oak.
- Palate: an explosion of caramel with notes of apple pie dusted with cinnamon, along with honeyed sweetness.
- Finish: long and voluptuous, with gentle spices and caramel.
