Australian whisky distilled in Melbourne, aged in wine casks from Yalumba. It is one of the most renowned wineries in the equally famous Barossa Valley. It is the only winery in Australia to have its own cooperage. This first Starward batch matured almost exclusively in Yalumba wine casks.
Yalumba Octavius is an exceptionally rich Shiraz aged in 100-litre “Octave” casks. These former octaves were used to create the limited-edition Starward Octave Barrels.
The octaves were filled with Starward new make almost immediately after being emptied, ensuring an intense interaction with the captivating Shiraz.
